Secure

MyAccount is self-contained, and only stores your data on your computer. Other personal finance applications store your data on cloud or corporate servers that you don't have access to and can't control, and they often track your personal spending habits for marketing purposes. They also store your banking credentials in order to automatically log into your bank account and download transaction data.

With MyAccount you download your transaction data from your bank yourself to a QFX transaction file and import that into MyAccount. MyAccount does not know or store your banking credentials or track your spending habits, and does not communicate with any servers.

Automated Bank Reconciliation

Bank reconciliation (determining which transactions have not yet cleared the bank) can be such a tedious process that most people don't do it. MyAccount can perform bank reconciliation using only the current bank balance for the account (which you enter), so it does not need to log into your online account to perform the reconciliation. MyAccount will find which transactions are outstanding and highlights them in your account.

Renaming Rules

Renaming rules allow you to make payee naming consistent across all your accounts. When you import transaction data from your bank accounts, the payee information is often cryptic and varying. Renaming rules let you specify a single name to use for that payee so all reporting is complete and consistent.

Print Checks

MyAccount can print checks of any type, wallet, legal, and sheet, to make writing checks fast and easy.

Perpetual Licensing

MyAccount uses perpetual licensing so you buy it once and keep it forever. Other personal finance applications use subscription licensing so you have to keep paying for the same application over and over again.
